Joining our association

As a qualified judge, you’re eligible to join our association and be part of a national network of professional judges.

We aim to offer something for every judge – whatever your discipline…and however long you’ve been qualified and judging for. Our association is built on an ethos of continued learning, and that everyone has an important contribution to make.

Member benefits include:

The Association promotes its full member judges to local, regional and national shows and competitions, to build their profile and increase opportunities for judging.

Our annual membership fees start at £30 (some continuing professional development activities may incur an additional cost).

Our judges commit to uphold the professional standards and reputation of the Association and adhere to its values. This means following a professional Code of Conduct, including the requirement to hold a valid Food Hygiene & Safety certificate, where appropriate.

We also offer an ‘associate membership’ to trainee judges and show stewards. This provides access to a range of updates, and an opportunity to be part our judging community. Our range of membership options can be seen here.
